Orville Lynn Sweitzer, 69, died Friday, October 4, 2019. He was born September 9, 1950, son of the late Raymond L. & Oralea H. Sweitzer.

Orville graduated from Kutztown College and served in the Air National Guard and the Reserves of the United States Air Force.  He had a very successful career in the Information Technology field.  Orville loved fishing, boating, traveling, and cars.  He will be remembered the most for his sense of humor and how he loved to tell jokes.  He loved to make people laugh.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Snader Sweitzer; daughter, Valerie L. Smith and her husband, Bill; son, Stephen O. Sweitzer; a granddaughter, Andrea Smith; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Doris Snader; and brothers-in-law, David and his wife Joy, and Donald and his wife Amy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol A. Shaaber.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Socastee United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Dear Darlene,
We are very sorry for your loss. Please accept our deepest sympathy. We got to know Orville during the Cresswind Follies and had many laughs with him as he told us jokes and some stories. He will be missed.

Darlene, so sorry to hear this news! I just saw him at the opening of the new medical offices and we spoke! I said he looked great! I know this will be a difficult time, but if you need anything just call anytime! My prayers are you with and your family.
