Mary Jane McKeithan Schwartz

Mary Jane McKeithan Schwartz passed away on January 3rd after an illness. She was born in Pinewood, S.C. and grew up in Orangeburg. A fiery red-head with sparkling green eyes, she married Julius Lambert “Lambo” Schwartz on Dec. 2nd 1956. They were married for 37 years, and became leaders of the Myrtle Beach Community, as well as examples of love and devotion to their children. Mary Jane delighted in her garden, world travel, and watching over the growth and flourishing of her family. She was a woman of valor, and passed from this Earth surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her sister Dottie, and her beloved husband Lambo. She is survived by her seven children: Ann Glick (Steve-deceased), Marc (Elizabeth) Schwartz, Sidney (Cliff) Williams, Sonia (Robert) Collins, Michael (Cathy) Schwartz, Jay (Terri) Schwartz, and Janie (Doug) Vickman. She had 17 grandchildren: Andrea (Marc) Krakow, Stacy (Brian) Davis, Josephine (Joel) Mann, Jeremy (Jeanne) Dobson, Heather Schwartz, Flora Schwartz, Wesley (Jocelyn) Williams, Anna (Hayes) Hamilton, Jacob (Tori) Williams, Julia and Critter Collins, M.J (fiancé Julie), Neiman (Victoria), and Leigh (fiancé Wes), McKeithan Schwartz, Hannah and Ada Vickman, and 14 great-grandchildren: Grayson and Gabi Krakow, Griffin and Mackenzie Davis, Gideon Dobson-Repinski, Gracie and Gwen Mann, Gabrielle and Gavin Dobson, Giancarlo Luca Orellana, Wyatt Williams, Hadlee Hamilton, Hampton Williams, and Deacon Schwartz, and 4 more on the way in 2019. Visitation will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral home on Sunday January 6th from 4-6 P.M. Funeral Services will be graveside at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach on Monday January 7th at 1:00 P.M. The Family asks that in-lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Mary Jane’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and the American Humane Society. An online guest-book is available at
