Kenneth Jerald “Ken” Drakeford, 44, of Longs, SC, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019, peacefully, surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Rock Hill, SC on February 16, 1975, Ken was the son of Jerald Drakeford of Rock Hill, SC, and Flossie Mae McManus of Loris, SC.
Ken had an amazing personality that was larger than life and a smile you can never forget. He will definitely be missed, but never forgotten. He had such a caring and loving group of friends and a wonderful relationship with his father.
Ken’s father will have a private gathering for family at his home in Rock Hill, SC.
At the request of Ken’s father, memorial contributions in Ken’s name, may respectfully be made in lieu of flowers to The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, SC, (www.hsnmb.org) as Ken had such a deep love for animals.

Ken was like a son to me when I lived at the beach. He loved my cooking and spent time at our house.I loved him.

So Sorry to Learn about Ken! He was my Customer at BellandBellBuick/Gmc for years! I Always enjoyed assisting him with his selection of vehicles! He was very polite and always complimentary to me and fun to be around! Sure will miss him as many will! May God give all his family peace , comfort, and strength in the difficult days ahead! Ken was my student in the computer lab at Castle Heights. He always made me feel special. He often came in the computer room to visit, even after he finished middle school. He was very special to me. Even though I haven't seen him since he was at Winthrop, I always hoped I would see him again when I went to the beach - which I haven't done in years. He will be missed.
