Harry was born April 2, 1925 in Philadelphia. He served in the US Navy during World War II in the South Pacific with the seventh fleet, as a Petty Officer, First class.

He received Certification from the Insurance Institute of America in Philadelphia to write all lines of Insurance and Surety Bonding. He was also certified in Agency Management by the University of Miami. He was also employed by AIG Insurance companies, serving in a managerial position in offices located in Philadelphia, Washington D. C. and San Francisco.

In 1974 he was hired by Henry D. Young Incorporated, Independent Agent, as Vice President in charge of sales. In 1980 he purchased the agency in Turnersville, N.J. and traded as the Young Insurance Agency Inc.

In 1986 Harry sold the agency and retired with his wife Celeste, to Myrtle Beach, S.C. He was a member of Trinity Church, Wachesaw Country Club, and Pine Lakes Country Club.

Harry was predeceased by his loving wife Celeste of 59 years, his sister Helen Douglas, and sister-in-law Florence Logan.

He is survived by three daughters; Melanie (Fred) Bauer Myrtle Beach S.C., Maureen Homme Myrtle Beach S.C. and Michele (Arthur) Ogren, of Vineland, N.J. Four loving grandchildren; Ryan Ogren, Kerry Ogren, Devin Ogren, and Alexandra Bauer; two great grandchildren; Stella Margot Ogren and Arthur John Ogren III ; sister-in-law Victoria (Dale) Roach, and five nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate any donations be made to the Trinity Church, The Trinity Foundation, or the Clergy Discretionary Fund.

Please accept my sincere condolence. May you find comfort through the Word of God. “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces…” Isa 25:8. This promise will be accomplished by means of God’s Kingdom or government with His son Jesus Christ ruling as king (Dan 2:44).
