Eula M. Cooke, 89, died peacefully at home on Monday, December 3, 2018.       

She was born September 2, 1929 in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Davis and Addie J. Brown Capps.

Eula was a member of Midway Baptist Church for over 60 years, and was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was in the restaurant business for most of her life, and is fondly remembered for her days at the Walgreens Lunch Counter “back in the good ole days”. She loved gardening and was known to be able to grow grass on a shingle.

Survivors include her son, Davis (Vicki) Cooke; daughter, Hilda (Jimmy) Jones; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Cooke and a grandson, Tommy Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, with Brother Kerry Quick officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Omar Shrine Transportation Fund, 176 Patriots Point Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.

May you find comfort through the Word of God. “He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces…” Isa 25:8. This promise will be accomplished by means of God’s Kingdom or government with His son Jesus Christ ruling as king (Dan 2:44).
