Allen “Al” Smigielski was born in Niskayuna, NY, outside of Schenectady, on December 20, 1964. He was raised in Ballston Spa and Cheektowaga, NY and attended school in Chenango Falls and Saratoga Springs, NY.

Allen was the proverbial “Jack of all trades, Master of none” as he worked various jobs in Vermont, Washington, and Florida. He had a great sense of humor and an easy-going manner. He was an avid coin collector and had an extensive collection of American and Foreign currency.

Allen is survived by his parents, Stephen and Colleen Smigielski of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Stephen of Keesville, NY; sisters, Christine (Mark) McCain of Deer Park, NY and Patrice (Edison) Chichester of Myrtle Beach; and his girlfriend of 20 years, Sue Molnar. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward “Eddie” Smigielski.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Myrtle Beach. Inurnment will immediately follow at the St. James Catholic Church Columbarium in Conway, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Renovation Fund at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3501 N. Kings Hwy., #102, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

Dear Smigielski family I am so sorry to hear about Allen. I will forever remember him as the person who could make everyone laugh. He was truly a wonderful person.

I'm so sorry about the passing of Allen and what the family is going through, again. May the peace of Christ be with you at this difficult time. We will miss him. I have great memories of visiting in NY and he will be remembered for his laughter and easygoing ways.
