Peter Ruvolo Obituary
Peter Ruvolo, 74, of Myrtle Beach, SC (originally of Rahway, NJ and Honesdale, PA) went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024. Pete was born the son of Vincent and Lucy Ruvolo on July 18, 1949 in Elizabeth, NJ. He is survived by his sister, Paula, and a brother Ignazio. Pete was predeceased by his sister Angela.
Pete graduated Rutgers University in 1971 and pursued a teaching career that he enjoyed for 37 years at Honesdale High School, PA.
On August 12, 1972 he married his high school sweetheart, Ginny Fedak of Rahway, NJ. Pete and Ginny were blessed with three sons, Brian Peter, Daniel Joseph, and David Alan; and four "sweet" granddaughters, Giovanna and Lucy (Brian and Suzi) and Brienna and Gabriella (Danny and Emily).
Pete loved baseball and football with Yankees and Giants being his favorite teams. He never missed an opportunity to attend a baseball or football game with sons or "the Tour Four". Although Pete battled many health issues, with faith, determination and family support he became a cancer survivor.
A celebration of life will be planned in the near future. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of Pete's unwavering commitment to making a difference, we invite you to join us in support of St. Jude, an organization that held a special place in his heart.
