Louise Holden Gore, 92, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2024, with her loving daughters by her side. Born on July 8, 1931, she lived her entire life in Horry County. She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and her husband of 64 years, Eugene Gore. She is survived by her daughters, Anita Eaton (Mike) and Jane Gladden (Joel); grandchildren, Emma Grace Gladden, Wyatt McMillan Gladden, and step-granddaughter, Sarah Beth Eaton. She is also survived by her beloved brother-in-law and sister-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Louise was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching her favorite teams, Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins, and South Carolina Gamecocks. In her younger years, Louise played softball and participated in a bowling league. In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards, dining out, and spending time with friends and family.
The funeral service is planned for Thursday, March 7, 2024 at First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach, 200 Highway 17 South. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Ocean View Memorial Cemetery, 1910 N. Kings Highway.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be sent to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
