Eazadyar (Eazad) Mataghedi, 68, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Greensboro, NC, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on March 30, 2024.
Born in Birjand, Iran, he is predeceased by his parents Hossein Motaghedi and Aghdas Almoluk Malaki.
With his outgoing personality, Eazad enjoyed his career as a salesperson and eventually a Registered General Distributor for Rainbow Vacuums. More recently he enjoyed his work with Uber as his personality complimented his driving skills.
Eazad enjoyed honing his skills on the gun range and was known for his never-ending jokes. He always would lend a helping hand to anyone with a flat tire or dead battery. He was always prepared with his battery charger and tire compressor on hand in his van. He never met a stranger as he could strike up a conversation with anyone and did so on many walks on the beach. He was a very sensitive person and loved his wife deeply as well as his spoiled cats, which you might see in a stroller on the sidewalk or at the beach.
Eazad is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth and his fur-babies Maximus and Ginger. He is also survived by his sisters Azarmidokht Motaghedi, Maryam Motaghedi, Mitra Zahirnia, brothers Khashyar and Khodyar Motaghedi, mother-in-law, Nancy Smith and brother-in-law, Freddie Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Eazad is predeceased by his brother Allahyar Motaghedi, and sisters, Shireen Zahirnia, Nasrin Zahirnia, Shahin Zahirnia and his father-in-law David F. Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the General Robert H. Reed Base Recreation Center, Classroom C, 800 Gabreski Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC, 29577, on Sunday, April 28th from 1 pm to 3 pm. All friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate Eazad's life.
