Obituary

James Armstrong, 78 passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Embrace Hospice House after an illness.

 

He was born September 26, 1938 in Arnold, PA a son of the late John and Odessa Armstrong.

 

He was married to the late Gerri Armstrong, who were together for fifty-eight years. They traveled a lot over the past ten years or so while their health permitted. He was a twenty year veteran (Master Sgt.) in the United States Air Force. He was a natural handyman and was able to fix anything.

 

Survivors include his three children, Jimmie Dwayne Armstrong, Robert Neil Armstrong and Sandra Armstrong-Long, his mother-in-law, Rose Owens, five grandchildren, Tiffany Armstrong, Shane Armstrong, Crystal Dix, Tyler Long and Todd Hamby and four great grandchildren, Nolan, Myles, Jayden, Caroline and one on the way.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home from 1:00-1:45 PM.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach with military honors.
